These Terms govern the supply of security services by Richard Tanoh, trading as Party Event Security, to the client named on the booking. Our contact details are set out in the "Contact Us" section below.
Party Event Security provides professional event security services, including SIA-licensed security personnel where the assignment requires licensable security activity.
Services may include:
The exact services to be provided will be based on the quotation, booking confirmation or other written agreement between Party Event Security and the client.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are based on the information supplied by the client at the time of the enquiry.
If the event requirements subsequently change, including the hours, location, number of guests, number of security personnel or nature of the event, we reserve the right to revise the quotation.
A quotation does not guarantee availability until the booking has been confirmed.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Party Event Security normally operates a minimum engagement of five hours per security guard.
Where a shorter period is requested, the applicable minimum charge may still apply.
A booking is considered confirmed when Party Event Security has accepted the booking and any required payment has been received.
These Terms, together with your booking confirmation, form the entire agreement between us for the assignment. We do not typically issue a separate signed contract.
As standard practice, full payment is required before or on the day of the assignment, and always before security personnel are deployed. Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking.
Payment may be made using the payment methods accepted by Party Event Security.
Party Event Security is not obliged to deploy security personnel until the required payment has been received. It is rare for us to commence an assignment without payment having first been made.
If you need to cancel an event or security booking, you should notify Party Event Security as soon as reasonably possible.
Any cancellation charge will take account of factors such as:
We will not impose a cancellation charge that is disproportionate to the reasonable losses arising from the cancellation.
Where an advance payment has been made, any refund due will be assessed taking these factors into account.
The client must notify Party Event Security as soon as possible of significant changes affecting the assignment, including changes to:
Additional charges may apply where changes result in additional staffing, working hours, travel, equipment or other costs.
If an event runs beyond the agreed finishing time and security personnel are requested or reasonably required to remain, additional charges may apply.
Additional time will normally be charged at the applicable agreed rate.
The availability of personnel beyond the originally agreed finishing time cannot always be guaranteed.
The client is responsible for providing accurate information about the event and any known security concerns.
The client should inform Party Event Security of any relevant risks, including:
Failure to disclose significant information may affect our ability to provide the service safely and may result in additional personnel or other measures being required.
Party Event Security personnel must be permitted to carry out their duties professionally and in accordance with applicable law, SIA requirements and reasonable security procedures.
Our personnel will not be required to follow an instruction from a client, guest, venue or other person where they reasonably believe that doing so would be unlawful, unsafe or contrary to their professional responsibilities.
Where circumstances at an event present a serious and immediate risk to staff or others, Party Event Security may take reasonable steps necessary to protect people and property, including contacting the police or emergency services where appropriate.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide the agreed number of appropriately qualified security personnel.
Where an individual security operative becomes unavailable because of illness, emergency or circumstances outside our reasonable control, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable replacement.
Where an assignment involves activities requiring an SIA licence, Party Event Security will provide appropriately SIA-licensed personnel.
Certain security or event-support activities may not legally require an SIA licence. Staffing requirements will therefore depend on the duties being performed.
The client remains responsible for the conduct of their guests and for ensuring that the event complies with applicable venue requirements and legal obligations.
Party Event Security personnel may take reasonable and proportionate action within their lawful authority to protect guests, staff, property and the venue.
Where access control forms part of our agreed duties, security personnel may refuse entry or request that an individual leave where reasonably justified by the venue's admission policy, the client's agreed instructions, safety considerations or applicable law.
Any physical intervention will only be undertaken where lawful, necessary and proportionate.
Party Event Security will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing its services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Party Event Security cannot guarantee that every incident, loss, theft, disturbance or criminal act will be prevented merely because security personnel are present.
We will not be responsible for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Unless specifically agreed as part of the assignment, Party Event Security does not accept responsibility for storing or safeguarding guests' personal belongings.
Guests should take reasonable care of their own property.
Neither party will be responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances genuinely outside its reasonable control, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Such circumstances may include severe weather, transport disruption, emergency restrictions, major public disorder or other exceptional events.
The parties should communicate as soon as reasonably possible if such circumstances affect an assignment.
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact Party Event Security as soon as possible.
Providing details promptly allows us to investigate the matter, speak with the personnel involved and respond appropriately.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and current. However, website information is provided for general information and may be changed without notice.
Individual quotations and written booking confirmations take precedence over general information displayed on the website where they specifically vary the service being purchased.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that a consumer is entitled to under applicable law.
Party Event Security may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The version applicable to a booking will normally be the version in effect when the booking is confirmed, unless a subsequent change is agreed between the parties or is required by law.
